Born in the family of soldiers and teachers, taking any one of the two as my career option was in my mind since childhood. Home is the first school and mother is the first teacher. The way my mother, father and my sister used to teach me, whether it could be related to subject or it could be life made me have a strong feeling that teaching has life. It is a profession where we get an opportunity to mold someone, share your knowledge to build others, improve your knowledge, contribute young minds to the society, “VidyaDaanam Shrestha Daanam”, this profession is Nobel. Hence my desire of taking teaching as my profession became stronger. Sharing my knowledge with young minds and contributing knowledgeable young citizens for their success, seeing them fly high, is my desire.

I hail from a small town which is a hill station where power cut, pumping of water to fill the tanks, using technology for farming was a common scene. I was always surrounded by these electronic and electrical equipment and was always enticed by them. If any device gets spoiled, I used to go on to check all the components it is made of. My Mother being a Mathematics teacher, my inclination towards Science and Mathematics was natural. During those days we had only few TV channels and DD National was telecasting DD Science program which was one of the avenues to understand newer concepts of Science. I never missed an opportunity to be a part of Science Exhibitions. Albert Einstein said “Scientists investigate that which already is; engineers create that which has never been. It is science to describe electromagnetic radiation but it is engineering to build a radio or a TV. Many of the so-called wonders of Modern Science are really wonders of modern engineering”.This motivational thought process developed an intense desire to pursue engineering and become an Engineering Teaching Professional.

I completed my Graduation and Post-Graduation in Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University and I passed out with Best Student and Best Performer- Academics awards from my college. After my Post Graduation I was aspiring to contribute and work actively in a dynamic organization with an enthusiastic team and continuously strive towards meeting new challenges. Vidyalankar Institute of Technology has always provided an excellent platform where I can improve my knowledge and contribute efficiently. Embedded Systems and RTOS, Micro Electro Mechanical Systems, Analog Electronic Circuits, ASIC Verification are few of the subjects I teach. Embedded Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things are my topics of keen interest.

Identifying and offeringsolutions to real life problems is an essential graduating attribute. I have guided projects related to Embedded Systems and IOT so far. In future I would like to collaborate with students in the domains of Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning to solve real life problems and expose students to the hands-on skills required to increase the employability of the students.

Encouraging learning through participation in various extra and co-curricular events has been my core mantra. Recently some of the students under my guidance have Participated in Virtual Lab Development Program which was held in Ahmedabad, organized by IIT Bombay and have won the Silver Developer Certificate. Also, my students have participated in VISION2019, Vikram Sarabhai Innovation competition organized by physical research laboratory (Space Department, Government of India). As part of my personal endeavor to strive to achieve perfection; I follow kaizen principle where I daily bring certain improvement in my work. For continuous learning I have taken IEEE, ISTE professional membership. Speaking to young minds, getting know their dreams, contributing to achieve them, learning with the students and from them make every day of my profession so worthwhile.
